One last bad blog post

This will be the last bad blog post you get from me I promise. I just don't have anything to update you you on. We were planning to film on the 15th but then everything got crazier and crazier. I'm sorry thus is all I can give you.

In all honesty

In all honesty...I have no idea what to do or what to blog about right now. I'm trying really hard to come up with ideas to write about but once Gus films the film I'm gonna be throwing so many blog posts at you so please just bare with my awful blog posts right now! I definitely dropped the ball over this "corona break" as some call it but I will produce better content when everything is filmed!

Sorry!! I'm doing the best I can with what I can do since I'm on total lockdown so my mom doesn't get sick!

views from quarantine

I wish I could give you more but theres not a lot I can say. I've been quarantined for 16 days (so far) which has been very taxing since all I want to do is go outside and see my friends. I'm also starting to get concerned about college since I'm planning to go in the summer but I'm optimistic everything is going to work out.

My partner and I came up with the plan that he'll film and edit the film and I'll do the film card and website. While this is not the ideal working plan, being in quarantine for two and a half weeks did hinder the way we wanted to work. 

I'm a little upset because this project was going so well but I'm hopeful that our film can closely resemble our original idea.

Weird Science 2!

Good morning everyone! I had a crazy idea to use chapstick and it worked SO WELL. It was so moldable

So I actually decided to make some scar wax tonight. When I looked it up they said flour and vaseline bot I did not have vaseline so I tried lotion instead.



The consistency wasn’t that bad the biggest issue was that it just didn’t dry so I added baking soda as an attempt to congeal it more but it did not work very well

I added a concealer (which is clearly NOT my color) but it looked actually not that bad. So I hoped that it would have dried by then but it just got worse :(


And then I added some red and other accents to make it look like a real cut but it just got even worse somehow so I decided to call a night and will try again tomorrow morning!

I sit here at 11:36 on a friday night eating fruit out of the box it came in. I have not left the house for about a week but I have changed into a new pair of pajamas every day. If you asked me what I’ve done for the past week i cannot tell you because I don’t even remember. Let me be real: quarantine life sucks. My project was going so well!! We were planning on filming on the same sunday the county decided to close schools so everything kind of came to a halt...including my blog posts, but I am staying optimistic and hoping we go back to school soon and everything can go back to normal because I’m not ready for my senior year to be over :( . Anyways until I’m allowed to film you guys will be getting a ton of research (the crowd roars). Yes I know it’s not the most exciting thing in the world but I’m looking forward to getting everything in order so when the dust finally settles we can jump right into filming and editing. Am I nervous? Yes.


That’s it. I’m just nervous.

Since we decided that one scene would have the character cut into his face the next step we have to take is figuring out actually how to do that.

I did some research and discovered scar wax would most likely be the best and most beginner friendly. You can buy or make scar wax but the easiest option is to buy scar wax since its easier to work with.

I've used scar wax before and its not incredibly hard to use but I'm definitely going to have to play around before to make sure I know what I'm doing on the day.

While I know I can't do it exactly like this I am excited to get pretty close! I will update tomorrow when I have all the materials together!
